Can you believe it is May already? As we rapidly approach the halfway mark of 2016 we have more updates to share with you in the second part of What’s New in Flapps.

As you know, the team here at Flapps never rests on their laurels and we have been busy adding new additions to your favorite online time tracking software.

So without further ado let’s have a look at what’s new with Flapps.

We have recently introduced a new Single Sign On (SSO) feature into Flapps. The SSO allows users to log in with a single ID and password to gain access to a connected system or systems, which in this case would be Flapps, without the need for different usernames or passwords.

As companies continue to move away from the pervious model of using the directory service, i.e. several passwords to access internal and external applications, they are turning to the single sign on option. Implementing the Flapps SSO will have many benefits for your company. Some of these benefits include enhanced security, faster log in protocol and also reduced costs to your IT department due to a lower number of password related problems.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Flapps SSO please contact a member of our support team.

We have added the option to generate a Proforma invoice through our extensive invoicing section.

The Proforma invoice is a document that declares a commitment to provide goods, or a service to the buyer at a certain agreed price. It is used to declare the value of the trade. Simply put, a Proforma invoice is a confirmed purchase order where buyer and supplier agree on detail and cost of the product to be shipped to the buyer.

You then follow up your Proforma invoice with the standard invoice that you can generate with Flapps including all the relevant tax, such as VAT, included on the invoice.

Chronological time tracking has been introduced to the daily time sheet section. This is a useful feature if you have a company wide start and finish time.

This new time tracking method is located in the Time Tracking section of the settings which can be accessed through configuration.

Chronological time tracking is now added as an extra option alongside Duration time tracking, meaning you now have even more time tracking options with Flapps.

Your company CEO or Main Manager no longer needs to have somebody else approve their time off requests. In the past there was a need for a HR manager or somebody of that ilk to approve their requests but that no longer applies.

Once the CEO selects their desired time off, they simply need to click the green arrow that appears beside their request summary for the request to be accepted in the system.

It really is as simple as that.

So there you have it, a lot of information to digest and a lot of new features to get stuck into.

We hope you find these improvements a useful addition to your favorite online time tracking software.
